Registration procedure

In order to register an .IE domain name, the registrant must demonstrate a connection with Ireland. Acceptable connections include being Irish or running an Irish company and owning a trademark valid in Ireland.

When registering an .IE domain and if we are unable to verify the connection to Ireland ourselves, we will send a message to the registrant email asking for the documentation.

Transfer procedure

The transfer requires an EPP / Authorization code that you can obtain from your current domain registrar.

By transferring a domain to NordName, you will also renew it for one year and get to benefit of our numerous free addon services.

NordName has not yet, or could not, determine what countries your contact information data is transmitted to. If you attempt to register a domain under this TLD, NordName requires your explicit consent to proceed with the order, since your data protection rights may get violated.

Grace period This expresses the number of days a domain is in Grace Period after it has expired. The domain does not function during this time. During the Grace Period you may still renew the domain for the regular renewal fee.	30 days
Redemption period This expresses the number of days a domain is in Redemption Period after it has exited the Grace Period. During this period you are still able to get the domain back to you by paying the regular renewal fee and a restoration fee.	30 days
Money-back period In the event of an errorneous domain registration, you may cancel the domain registration within this many days from registration and get a full refund for the purchase. Subject to fair usage limitations.	0 days
Auth code support This states whether the TLD uses EPP Auth codes. Auth codes are often required when transferring a domain to another registrar. In case the TLD does not support EPP codes, please read the transfer procedure from above for more information.
Explicit delete This states whether domains under this TLD may be immediately deleted before the actual expiration date. After deletion the domain will immediately go to redemption period, or grace period if there is no redemption period for that TLD.
