What is the NordName reseller program?

The NordName reseller program allows you to register and manage domain names and resell them to your customers. We offer transparent pricing, advanced whitelabel features and competent technical support.

Why choose NordName as my partner?

We provide you with the cheapest pricing in the Nordics, advanced whitelabel features and communication with your customers in their local language. Whitelabel features replace our brand name with yours and enable the use of your custom domain (such as domain.yourbrand.com) in all email communication. We can also send email and SMS communication to your end users not only in English, but also in Finnish and Swedish (more to come). In addition, we are an independent family-owned business that is not owned by any large multinational group – and we will stay as such forever! Who is eligible to become a reseller?

We currently accept businesses from the EU, EEA and UK as resellers. To be eligible you must actively register and manage domain names for third parties, and you must have a website where you provide your services. If you only register domain names for your own use, you are welcome to use our services but as a regular customer (not a reseller).

How do I become a reseller?

Becoming a reseller is simple and free of charge. There are no setup fees, monthly fees or minimum purchase requirements. You will only pay for the domain purchases you make.

Contact us at support (at) nordname.com or book a meeting with us through our website. We will send you our reseller agreement to sign. Afterwards we’ll set up your reseller account and provide you with access to our platform.

What pricing and discounts are available for resellers?

Resellers receive preferential prices because support of end users is handed off to the reseller. Your exact pricing depends on whether you are using the prepayment or postpayment billing scheme. Prepayment scheme offers our best pricing. Click [here] to view the pricing.

How does the billing work?

Your purchases are either paid using a) prepayment or b) postpayment scheme. You can read more about them in the next questions.

No matter which payment scheme you have chosen, you receive one consolidated monthly invoice for all the month’s purchases at the end of each month. This means you will receive only one document from us for your accounting. The invoice is automatically paid from your prepaid account balance, unless you’ve opted in for postpayment scheme in which case the invoice needs to be paid in 14 days.

How does the prepayment scheme work?

The prepayment scheme is the default way that our resellers are billed. In this scheme, you will need to add a prepayment (“topup”) on your customer account in advance of making purchases. For example, you may add 200 EUR on your account, after which you can make purchases worth of 200 EUR. Prepayments are not purchases but advance payments, meaning you can always request us to send the prepayment back to you. Prepayments do not collect interest. Using prepayment scheme you get access to our lowest prices.

How does the postpayment scheme work?

The postpayment scheme is available for selected customers with good credit history. In this scheme, you do not need to send us any prepayment. Your purchases in every month are collected onto one invoice which is sent to you at the end of each month. The invoice must be paid by you in 14 days time. You can request us to enable the postpayment scheme for you, after which we will inspect your company finances to determine whether we can provide the postpayment scheme to you and with what credit limit. If granted, you get access to it immediately.

What payment methods are available?

You can add prepayments to your account as well as pay invoices using following payment methods: Credit/debit card, PayPal, Online banking (EU), SEPA Bank Transfer. Note that we may charge a payment method surcharge for prepayments done with credit/debit card, PayPal and Online banking (EU). SEPA Bank Transfers are free.

What white label features are available?

Our white label features enable you to replace our brand name with yours in as many places as possible. We can show you as the reseller in the domain WHOIS/RDAP calls. We can send all email verification messages to your end users from your custom domain (such as domain.yourbrand.com). All verification links in emails can also consist of your custom domain.

Do you provide API access for automation?

Yes! We offer a comprehensive API interface that allows you to automate domain registration, transfers, renewals, DNS management, and more. You can integrate our API into your own systems or even build your own domain management panel for your customers. We also have a ready-to-use WHMCS module available on GitHub.

How do I manage domains for my customers?

You can manage all domains through our client area or via our API. You have full control over DNS settings, WHOIS information, transfers, renewals, and more. If you prefer, you can also build your own management interface using our API and offer it to your customers as a white label solution. You can also integrate our API to your WHMCS installation using our WHMCS module.

What addon services are available with the domains that I resell?

We provide WHOIS protection, DNS management (with your whitelabel nameservers) and URL redirects free of charge. For extra charge, you can also resell our brand protection services.

Can emails be sent in different languages?

Yes! We offer multilingual email communication for your end customers. Currently, we can send verification and notification emails in English, Finnish, and Swedish. This helps you serve customers in non-English speaking countries more effectively.

Can emails be branded with my company name?

Yes! We can send the emails to your customers from your custom domain and make all verification links also to consist of your custom domain.

What kind of support do you provide to resellers?

Our support is available Monday-Friday 10:00 - 18:00 Finland time. Our team can help with account setup, API integration, technical issues, billing questions, and more. You can chat with us, send us emails or call us. We typically respond within 4 business hours.

For more serious needs we can offer extended SLA with access to 24/7 oncall.
