.UK is the second-level country-code top level domain (ccTLD) for the United Kingdom. Until 2014 it was only possible to register domains under the second-level domains .co.uk, .org.uk and .me.uk, however nowadays also registrations directly under .UK are possible.

Registration procedure

There are no restrictions for the .UK TLD. Anyone can register one and they are served on a first-come basis.

Transfer procedure

To transfer an .UK domain to NordName, you will have to contact the current registrar of your domain and ask them to change the IPS-TAG on your domain to NORDNAME. This should be done after you have ordered the transfer from us.

You (the registrant contact) will also receive an email from us containing the instructions for the IPS-TAG change once you have ordered the transfer.

Grace period This expresses the number of days a domain is in Grace Period after it has expired. The domain does not function during this time. During the Grace Period you may still renew the domain for the regular renewal fee.	90 days
Redemption period This expresses the number of days a domain is in Redemption Period after it has exited the Grace Period. During this period you are still able to get the domain back to you by paying the regular renewal fee and a restoration fee.	0 days

Auth code support This states whether the TLD uses EPP Auth codes. Auth codes are often required when transferring a domain to another registrar. In case the TLD does not support EPP codes, please read the transfer procedure from above for more information.
