Registration procedure

.HU domain registrations are only available to residents of following countries: Andorra, Albania, Armenia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Belgium, Bulgaria, Switzerland, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Germany, Denmark, Estonia, Spain, Finland, France, Great Britain, Georgia, Greece, Croatia, Hungary, Ireland, Iceland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Latvia, Monaco, Moldavia, Montenegro, Macedonia, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Russia, Sweden, Slovenia, Slovak Republic, San Marino, Turkey, Ukraine.

Transfer procedure

In order to transfer a .HU domain name, the domain owner will have to fill in a (physical) transfer order form. The form will be provided to you via email once you have ordered the transfer. We will forward the filled form to the authorities.

Note the following:

The transfer order form must be filled, printed, signed and scanned by the domain owner.
The transfer order form needs to contain 2 witness fields.
The transfer order needs to be sealed with an official company seal.
Due to the transit of the forms, it may take several days to process the transfer of a .HU domain.

The transfer fee is fully an administrative fee to cover the costs of the form processing. The transfer does not contain any renewals.

Privacy and terms

Privacy rating (GDPR)	The registry is EU based and your data protection rights are secured. By registering under this TLD you hold the right to become forgotten (data erasure). Your contact details will also not be exported to a 'third country'. In summary, you are safe and hold your fundamental privacy rights. You're good to go.

Grace period This expresses the number of days a domain is in Grace Period after it has expired. The domain does not function during this time. During the Grace Period you may still renew the domain for the regular renewal fee.	30 days
Redemption period This expresses the number of days a domain is in Redemption Period after it has exited the Grace Period. During this period you are still able to get the domain back to you by paying the regular renewal fee and a restoration fee.	0 days

Auth code support This states whether the TLD uses EPP Auth codes. Auth codes are often required when transferring a domain to another registrar. In case the TLD does not support EPP codes, please read the transfer procedure from above for more information.
Explicit delete This states whether domains under this TLD may be immediately deleted before the actual expiration date. After deletion the domain will immediately go to redemption period, or grace period if there is no redemption period for that TLD.
