Policy for domain name auto-renewal & deletion

Domain names are renewed automatically on the first (1st) day of the month preceding the expiration date of the domain, unless automatic renewal feature has been explicitly disabled. The customer will receive a reminder of upcoming automatic renewals 10 days prior.

We will only proceed with automatic renewal if we have received reasonable assurance of payment for the renewal. Ensure to have positive account funds or an active payment method on your account, for successful domain renewals. If we are unable to automatically renew a domain, you will receive a notice via email.

If a domain name has not been renewed, it will enter a Grace Period of (usually) 30 days. During this period, the domain is inactive, but you may still renew it for the normal price. After Grace Period the domain enters Redemption Period of (usually) 30 days. During this period, the domain is active but in addition to the normal renewal fee you need to pay a Restoration Fee to renew it.

Observe that the length of the Grace and Redemption Period changes between Top-Level Domains (TLDs) – see instructions below for checking the exact length for these for your TLD of interest.

To check exact length of the Grace and Redemption Period as well as the price of Renewal and Restoration, check the information page of the concerned TLD. You can find the information page of the concerned TLD by clicking on the name of the TLD on our Domains page.
